Our Story

The journey behind Pomodoras Fine Foods

Welcome to Pomodoras Fine Foods, where every product tells a story of family, community and a shared passion for good food and flavours.

Pomodoras story began in the picturesque Sunshine Coast hinterland, where Chris & Jodi’s passion for good food and good customer service first blossomed.

Starting with a cozy café in Maleny in August 2006, the duo quickly became accepted in the local community and was soon known for their Food appreciation dinners that celebrated the best of what the region had to offer.

In 2008 they started the process of building their own restaurant and accommodation venue just around the corner in Maleny. Around this time in 2009 they welcomed their first baby girl, making the early years of Pomodoras a whirlwind of parenting and building their dream life.

Soon after, their second daughter was born in 2011 they saw the growth of their balsamic dressing range. From the very first bottle of Chris’ famous balsamic dressing, they knew they were onto something extraordinary.

The big, bold flavors, crafted with care and a commitment to quality, resonated with locals and visitors alike. As word spread, so did the demand for their  balsamic dressing range leading to the evolution of sepertaing the product from the venue and Pomodoras Fine Foods was born. Over the years, Pomodoras fine foods has grown from small batch into a thriving boutique business.

Now ranging in over 150 independant supermarkets Queensland wide.Despite this incrediable growth, Chris & Jodi continue to oversee every step of the process, from sourcing the finest ingredients to perfecting each recipe.

Today, Pomodoras Fine Foods remains a family-run buiness, offering a range of delicious, handcrafted condiments, including not only the very popular balsamic dressing but now infused salts, mustards and oils.

Pomodoras on Coral & Pomodoras on Obi properties will always hold a special place in their story  – a reminder of where the dream began. Each product is a celebration of the Bonds’ passion for food and their commitment to sharing the simple joy of great flavors with others.

Whether you’re a longtime fan or a first-time customer, we invite you to explore our range and taste the difference that comes from years of dedication, creativity, and love.

 Here’s to celebrating life’s flavours—Happy Cooking!

Growing together with local business

As a member of the Food Agribuisness Network (FAN), we had the incredible opportunity to be part of  the 2019 Grow Coastal Food acceleator program.

This program are active in supporting local producers and small businesses. It’s these connections between locals that helps us deliver a better product to our customers. We’re working with FAN mentors and experts to deliver our products more efficiently – so you can enjoy Pomodoras Fine Foods Balsamic Dressings wherever you are.

A locavore is a person who chooses to consume food that is grown, raised, or produced locally, usually within 200 kilometres from home.

A ‘Locavore’ connects food consumers with the food producers within a small targeted radius developing better food networks, improving local economies and enriching health, environmental, community and social impacts.

Local products not only keep money in our community, they make it from ‘paddock to plate’ in the shortest possible time frame to ensure the freshest possible product at a great price!

Where ever possible we support local suppliers. You too can support local businesses who supply our stores with a range of goods.

The next time you are in our stores look out for the local logo as it’s your ‘ticket’ to purchasing a quality locally produced or grown product.
